Welcome to the WP-Secure Plugin for WordPress – By SiteSecurityMonitor.com. We have provided this plugin free of charge to the WordPress community! We developed this solution initially for our customers – and decided to release it to the community. We have found over time that the same basic issues confound our users, and that basic WordPress security settings are not being applied. So, we developed this plugin to make it real simple for everyone involved! We hope you enjoy it, and provide any feedback as to features, changes, bugs.

Installation

  1. Click on ‘Plugins’, ‘Add New’, ‘Upload’.
    • Browse for the wp-secure.zip file, upload it.
  2. Activate it, and then click on ‘WP Secure by SSM’
  3. Now you are ready to start the lockdown process. Click on the ‘Process’ Menu link to get started!

FAQ

What about malware and vulnerability management?

This plugin does the basics of wordpress lockdown to help fend off attackers. We recommend regular scanning and detection of your site to ‘ensure’ that you are protected. You can get started with your first free scan on the ‘Security Seal’ tab of the plugin.
