How do I add rating to my posts/pages?

You can do it in two ways:

  • Automatically – set ‘Insertion method’ option to ‘Automatic’ (default). Plugin will use content filter to add rating based on your settings.
  • Manually – set ‘Insertion method’ option to ‘Manual’ and insert <?php if(function_exists('spr_show_rating')){echo spr_show_rating();}?> where you need it in your template. [!]You should remove function from wherever you’ve inserted it if you plan to remove plugin[!]

Can I reset votes?

Yes, you can by pressing “Reset votes” button on Simple Rating setting page.
Note: This only resets votes. Plugin will automatically fully remove its data upon deletion.

If I don’t want to add rating for specific post or page, can I disable it for that specific post or page?

You certainly can. Just tick the box “Disable rating” when editing/publishing post or page in question.

Can I leave ‘Vote count color’ empty?

Yes, you can. In that case, color will be inherited.

Are custom post types supported?

Yes, they are.

Is there a function to pull rating of specific post I can use in PHP?

Yes, there is such a function.

spr_get_entry_rating($post_id, $echo);

This function returns whole html block of rating

Parameters:
$post_id (integer) (required) ID of post, page or custom post type entry
$echo (boolean) (optional) (default: false) whether result should be echoed or returned for use in PHP

Are there localizations available?

Yes, currently, next languages are available:
* English
* Ukrainian
* Russian

Can I easily translate it to my language?

Yes, you certainly can. Please read how_to_translate.txt for localization instructions.

I broke my site while trying to create my own localization. What should I do?

First of all, you should have read how_to_translate.txt more carefully. Actually, go read it now. It explains what to do in this situation (at the end of file).
