Tell amazing stories with WordPress and the Long Form Storybuilder plugin. It is truly one-of-a-kind — allowing you to build feature-rich, interactive, long-form stories. The plugin is built with the power of the WordPress Customizer panel, so you can use a familiar interface that you can navigate with ease. Use our intuitive content builder to create stories with purpose.

With our current beta version of the Long Form Storybuilder, you can set primary and secondary colors and choose from various font combinations that make your story look beautiful. Easily create any of the following sections within your long-form story:

Header: An opening images with your story title and description.

Callout: A full-width section with a colored background or image background.

Content: A single-column text area with full wysiwyg editor.

Full Feature: A full-width image with text overlay.

Navigation: A navigation bar with specified pages and a logo. Allows you to use WordPress menus or custom menus.

Section Heading: A section heading with title and subtitle.

Two Column Content: A two-column content text area.

Three Column Content: A three-column content text area.

Installation

Using The WordPress Dashboard

  1. Navigate to the \’Add New\’ in the plugins dashboard
  2. Search for ‘Long Form Storybuilder’
  3. Click \’Install Now\’
  4. Activate the plugin on the Plugin dashboard

Uploading in WordPress Dashboard

  1. Navigate to the \’Add New\’ in the plugins dashboard
  2. Navigate to the \’Upload\’ area
  3. Select long-format-storybuilder.zip from your computer
  4. Click \’Install Now\’
  5. Activate the plugin in the Plugin dashboard

Using FTP

  1. Download long-format-storybuilder.zip
  2. Extract the long-format-storybuilder directory to your computer
  3. Upload the long-format-storybuilder directory to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory
  4. Activate the plugin in the Plugin dashboard

Usage

Once you have the plugin installed and activated, create a new Page or Post and check “Display as Long Form Content”. Then either Publish your post (if you want it to be public), or save it as a Draft. Then just click the button that says “Edit my Long Format Content Page” and start creating your amazing content!

FAQ

I have the plugin installed, now what?

Now you get to start creating some amazing content! Simply create a new page and check the “Display as Long Form Content” box. Once you save the page, you’ll get a link to start setting up your content using the Customizer.

Can I change colors and fonts on my Long Form pages?

You sure can! As you set up your page, you’ll see a section titled “Page Options.” In there you’ll find options for your page colors, as well as a wide variety of font combinations to get your content looking exactly how you want.

Will you ever offer more section types?

Absolutely! We’re actively developing new section types to add even more functionality to your Long Form Stories.
