Contact Form 7 BWP reCAPTCHA Extension Plugin

This plugin provides a new tag for the Contact Form 7 Plugin. It allows the usage of a reCAPTCHA field provided by the BWP reCAPTCHA Plugin.

Contact Form 7 is an excellent WordPress plugin but its captcha functionality is limited to a simple captcha.

CF7 BWP reCAPTCHA Plugin adds reCAPTCHA capabilities to contact form 7.

This plugin is the result of the study on how CF7 API, WP APIs and BWP Captcha plugin works, in order to code the necessary hooks to add recaptcha to CF7, including a settings page to configure the theme and language you want to use.

Settings

The settings of the BWP reCAPTCHA plugin are used by default. You can change that behaviour on the settings page of the plugin under:

BWP reCAPT -> CF7 Options

Installation

  1. Make a backup of your current installation
  2. Make sure you fit the requirements
  3. Download and unpack the download package
  4. Upload the contact-form-7-bwp-recaptcha-extension folder to the ‘/wp-content/plugins/’ directory
  5. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress
  6. You will now have a “reCAPTCHA” tag option in the Contact Form 7 tag generator

Usage

  1. On the actual Contact Form 7 configuration page, next to the “Form Box” with code in it, use the drop down click on Generate Tag
  2. Choose reCAPTCHA (not CAPTCHA)
  3. copy the code that it gives you
  4. past it into the “Form Box” where the existing code is.

IMPORTANT: The reCAPTCHA is not shown to qualified visitors so you must logout if you want to test the form in which you include the reCAPTCHA.
